This book was filled with drama right from the start. Case #1 ~ Ms. Nina was the nothing less than RATCHETT and I always tell people that Karma will come around to bite you in the butt if you're not careful how you treat others. Angel did a wonderful job detailing the events and the character development was on point. I must say that I wasn't shocked by the ending, however the meeting at the end brought me to tears because sometimes happiness can come from pain!Case #2 ~ Mr. Raymond was the first gold-digging guy that I've ever seen! Don't get me wrong, I knew they existed, but most of the time people get it after the first mishap...just not Raymond. He was destined for destruction because he just could not learn the lesson that was being taught to him over and over again. I almost threw up in my mouth when the consequences of Emily's first time came to light, but as soon as she moved to Los Angeles, I knew THAT would happen...because this world is way to small to face run from your demons!
I had my husband asking what happened next everytime I finished reading a few chapters and that was fun! Overall, this is a wonderful book and I would definitely recommend it to my friends! Taken From Me.....
Douglas is a caring man who dates a gold digging Nina to only find they are not on the same page. Nina is seeking a paid man so she can be set for life. Douglas is not ready for what Nina wants and when he lets her know she drops a bomb on him that disrupts his life.
Invisible Father....
Raymond is a selfish man that is a male version of a gold digger. He meets Najae Moss and decides he has to have her. He is all game until he finds out that she is complacent in her catering business and doesn't want to expand it. A one night stand results in a child that he wants no parts of.
These stories are not about men that weren't willing to pay child support but about what people do to be where they want to be in life especially in Raymond and Nina's case. Both stories were very entertaining and original.
Ms. Bearfield did a good job on bringing these characters and their situations to life. Looking forward to more from her.

Child Support is a novel that gives readers a glimpse into the legal system when it comes to active/absentee parents.
In the first story `Taken from Me' Douglas meets the lovely Nina, she's beautiful & smart; things between thing are going well until Douglas starts to witness certain characteristics about Nina he doesn't like, attitude, controlling/ manipulative ways, and the constant urge to have children and get married. Fed up with Nina, Douglas decides to break things off with her, but not before she could tell him, she's pregnant. To get even with Douglas for breaking things off with her, Nina files a child support order after the babies are born and forbid him from seeing his kids.
The second Story `My Daughter's Invisible Father' meet Raymond the smooth talking brother who with the right words sweeps Najae off her feet, one date, intercourse afterwards, and add in no protection, Najae finds out a couple weeks later she's pregnant. After countless attempts to get in contact with Raymond, Najae decides to go to his job and confront him about his responsibilities, but what she encounters is not what she was expecting. Raymond makes it clear to her-He'll pay child support but he isn't interested in being in the child's life.
I enjoyed both of these stories...
This is a double delight, won't want to put down, great read. Child support is 2 great books wrapped up neatly for you to enjoy.
Case 1) without spoiling it for readers let me say some females give baby momma a bad name. I actually found myself flipping out on Nina and wishing that poor Doug got a happy ever after. The authors ability to twist the traditional marriage with a white picket fence view into a crazy ruthless game was amazing. The disadvantages and lost of rights and control had me questioning if I needed to brush up on the law to protect myself. The story seem so real. Case 1 was filled with a great background, fabulous plot and a great conclusion.
Case 2) After coming from case 1 I was a little disappointed that case 2 didn't instantly pull me in like the first. It seemed like a lot was going on and felt complex for no reason. HOWEVER towards the end you come to understand the need and reasoning for all the different turns and boy oh boy was a glad I stuck with it. Raymond Raymond Raymond that character took me through all types of emotions and the heartbreaking, oh my God, please anything but that twist was GREAT!
In case you couldn't tell I heart this book!
Some people get what they deserve and some people deserve what they get. Though theses two stories toot the same theme, greed and dishonesty, they are different in their stories.
The first case 'Taken From Me, shows how devious some women are when it comes to setting up and cashing in on a 'lifetime' meal ticket. Some of the tricks Nina pulled were shocking and made me want to hurt her.
My Invisible Father, is stark in its reality of it's depiction of what can happen when the father decides he wants nothing to do with his offspring. I have to say I was really ticked when it seemed Raymond would get away with all of his wrong doings.
In the end, I love the way the tables turn for all involved in both stories.
I must warn you there are some graphic sexually explicit scenes, but that is the nature of the book. Regardless of the fact I skipped over those parts, none of the storyline was lost.
