I love this series. Tiara just couldn't catch a break. She moved and the drama still followed her. First with Tony's aunt, then with Ebony Tony's cousin and her ratched friend. Then with Paul and his crazy behind. Then with Jeff. Then with K.D. I agree with Tiara this all stems from Tony. If he had of been taking care of home instead of out running the streets and putting his d*** in anything with a pulse, then Tiara wouldn't have had to leave. On the other hand, if she never left she wouldn't have meet Jeff. At first I liked him. But when he tossed her to the side like yesterday's trash after she told him she was raped, I lost some respect for him. And Ebony, while she had good intentions, she basically was the reason why Tony went to prison and ended up killing himself. I'm not saying if she didn't tell that they still wouldn't have eventually found out. And I'm not condoning what Tony did. Paul deserved what happened to him. He was straight psycho.I just hate that Tony died and basically left his daughter to be raised by another man. But what could he do to help raise her from prison???
You did the thing Lashonda. I'm just glad Tiara finally got her happily ever after and that her mom finally came to her senses.

Wow! Fire! Fire! Fire! This was a great powerful read. I was sucked so deep into this story when I had the chance to really read it, I can feel the emotions from Tiara in my heart of all the pain, and troubles she has gone through. Of course, I couldn't put it down. LaShonda DeVaughn has done it again with this one. She put her foot into this. Yep, its well written. I love what she does. She definitely have my 5 stars, REAL TALK! When I open her books to began reading, I don't expect anything less. She keeps feeding you, giving you more, and more on every installment. She's a great writer, and I'm looking forward for incredible works in the future from LaShonda. If LaShonda DeVaughn pops up in "customers who recently bought" column, please praise her with Hood Chick Story 1, 2, and 3. They're a must read. One click them all if you haven't done so. Don't forget "I'd Rather Be Single." -)
A HOOD CHICK'S STORY pt.3 was FANTASTIC FANTASTIC FANTASTIC. I LOVED it, as well as the ENTIRE SERIES. An ABSOLUTE TRUE PAGE-TURNER, NEVER a DULL MOMENT. Poor TIARA aka 'T', could'nt catch a BREAK. TIARA'S life was ALWAYS in TURMOIL, and DRAMA ALWAYS LANDED at her DOOR from ALL ANGLES, even when she moved to another STATE. The AVERAGE PERSON would've went STIR CRAZY. She LOVED HARD, WHETHER in a RELATIONSHIP, FAMILY, or FRIENDS, and was VERY LOYAL. TIARA ENDURED HURT, PAIN, BETRAYAL, LIES, CHEATING, JEALOUSY, BACKSTABBING, DISLOYALTY, ABUSE, TRAGEDY REGARDING HER DAUGHTER SHAYONNA, LOVE LOST/GAIN & LOVE LOST/GAIN AGAIN, throughout this SERIES. I was on a ROLLER-COASTER RIDE of EMOTIONS, from SAD to HAPPY to ANGRY, and BACK OVER AGAIN. This HOOD CHICK'S SERIES was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING, A FANTASTIC FINALE. LASHONDA DEVAUGHN MOST DEFINITELY DID HER THING. I TRULY ENJOYED and RECOMMEND this MUST READ, as well as pts. 1&2...........
LaShonda DeVaughn has done it again with the 3rd and final installement of A Hood Chick's Story. Tiara James was supposed to catch a break once she moved to a new city to get a fresh start but the drama seemed to follow right behind her. Although Tiara is much more mature in this final chapter and seemed to leave all her old ways behind her it seemed the harder she tried the more she was pushed over the edge.
LaShonda takes you on a roller coaster ride full of emotions, bringing you to the edge of your seat, shaking your head and even screaming at the characters in the novel. Every time you thought Ms. Tiara finally got her happy ending she was slapped in the face with some more b.s. I like that Tiara is very strong willed, independent and a fighter. No matter what hit her she didnt let it bring her down. LaShonda did a great job answering any questions that were left dangling from the first 2 books in the series. She did a great job at closing out the series.
There was a message here that no matter what happens in life, never give up and never stop pushing because there is always a rainbow at the end of the storm. I was so glad of the outcome that came with this final installment. It may not have been the one I wanted but it as good one none the less.
The whole series is recommended if you haven't gotten your copy yet then you are definitely missing out.
Damn, where do I begin??... I absolutely loved this book. It was so many twist and turns and of course drama!!! I finished this book in a day!!!! I was reading in the morning at work to the time I went to bed at night. So I was reading and working!!! Just when Tiara thought things was goin to be better in another state without Tony, drama and hardships still followed. Even though Tony did his dirt to Tiara, I do believe he genuinely loved her, he just had a real funny way of showing it. People always say they would kill for you, but Tony proved that saying to be more than true. He refused to let any harm come to Tiara and Shayonna. I mean this man literally killed for them!!!!! This book had me laughing out loud at times and other times made me just want to throw my kindle at someone!!! It was so sad to witness the struggles Tiara had to face, but bad things don't last forever, there is always light at the end of every tunnel and Tiara finally found her happiness. It couldn't have ended any better than what it did, truly amazing. MUST READ PPL!!!
P.S. I love what Tony did for Tiara in the end. An amazing act of love, un- selfishness, and the true meaning of letting go.
